- First, the bolt pattern in 2024 changed over to 5×114.3 (also called 5×4.5)
- Second, 2024+ Crosstreks can’t size down to a 15 or 16 inch wheel. The brakes are larger on the 3rd gen Crosstreks when compared to previous generations.

I have seen conflicting information on the MR502’s weight, but the VT spec is under 20lbs. Some sites put them down as being over 23lbs. But I weighed one of mine and they are indeed lighter than that. Mine came in at 19.6lbs but that number may vary based on the scale used. Either way, the 15 inch VT Spec variation is a great lightweight wheel that won’t bog down your engine.
The MR502 is designed to fit over the WRX brake kits that some people have swapped onto their Subarus. Most 15″ wheels will not clear brake kits this big. This means it will fit on over your Crosstrek brakes with plenty of room!
I also really appreciate that this wheel is a direct fit for Subarus. The hub bore fits our cars perfectly which means you won’t need to purchase hubcentric rings. Additionally, the +15mm offset is exactly what we need for an aggressive wheel “stance.”
If you want to down size to 15 inch wheels, these are great. But they also offer this wheel in 17 inch options for those who want to keep something a bit larger.

Performance & Aesthetics For Serious Drivers
A Lightweight Wheel That Can Take A Beating
The Boxer was designed specifically for Subaru drivers to accommodate their demanding off-road needs. The 10 spoke design allows this wheel to stand up to serious abuse. I have been using this wheel for over two years and have really enjoyed it. It’s withstood everything I’ve thrown at it. I’ve seen another driver smash this wheel straight into a boulder at about 40mph destroying his control arm, cracking the boulder in half, blowing up the tire, and doing nothing to the wheel. Those same wheels are still on the road to this day.
While function is the #1 priority, there is something to be said about providing aesthetics and usefulness in one package. Black Rhino has done just that. The wheel looks fantastic, but is durable and weighs under 19 lbs in the 15×7 configuration. But this wheel is also available in 17 inch variations for those who don’t want to size down.
The only downside to this wheel is the number of small spokes that have to be cleaned. If you want something that’s easy to clean, this wheel might not be your favorite. However, I just use the pressure washer on mine to clean them out real quick.

I personally think the Sparco Terra is one of the coolest wheels on the market. It weighs only 20lbs and fits very well on our Subarus. Their load rating is a bit lower than some of the other options, but if you’re not competing in stage rally this is a fantastic option. With a price tag that’s nearly $100 cheaper than some of the other popular option, this wheel is a no brainer.
Much like the Methods, this wheel has a 56.1mm hub bore which fits our Crosstreks perfectly. No need for hubcentric rings.
